Xiao Zhang is an award-winning automotive designer with over 15 years of international experience in North America and Asia. He currently works as a Senior Designer at Daimler Truck North America, leading interior design for Freightliner and Western Star trucks, while also contributing to global Mercedes-Benz projects focused on driver experience and premium commercial vehicle design.
Previously, he worked at Ford Motor Company, contributing to the Lincoln Zephyr interior and advanced concepts for future electric vehicles, and at Faraday Future, where he helped develop the luxury cabin of the FF91. Earlier in his career, he collaborated with companies including Czinger Vehicles, Nissan Design America, BMW Designworks, Bang & Olufsen, and Yanfeng Johnson Controls.
Zhang has received several international design awards, including a Silver Award from the International Design Awards (IDA). He holds an MBA from Westcliff University and a BS in Transportation Design from ArtCenter College of Design, and his work focuses on creating innovative, human-centered vehicle design experiences.
